La Vieille Europe in Montreal

I get my coffee here. Great broulerier. Lots of European cheeses and treats.

Everything you ever want in a specialty food store and a whole lot of foods it never occurred to you to want. It's a bit pricey but the quality is high. It was Christmas Eve so it was festive - and a bit claustrophobic. Still, lots of fun.

The market is a little expensive but considering it's all imported and they have a little bit of everything European it was more than worth it. The coffee selection was impressive and they had a part to my moka pot express which had been impossible to find. Would return.

Truly European feeling. Good prices. Top quality sausages, cheeses. Wide variety of mustards, vinegars, olive oils, chocolates, coffees.

Great bilingual staff, great selection of unusual foods.

Excellent cheese and bread and foie gras selection. Basically anything you could get easily in europe but can't seem to find here at a decent quality, you'll find it there!

I found kofola here! Great selection of local and imported products from all over Europe. Beware of expiry dates, however, I found a paprika that expired in 2014 and many other products were close to their best before dates. I'll happily return though, just watch out for the dates!

I always love to go to La Vieille Europe. I get an amazing service and I find amazing products from Europe. Cold cuts, cheeses, coffee, chocolate, jams, olive oil and much more. I invited a friend from Latvia there last week and she's still talking about it. She found two products from Riga and that made her very happy. If you are hesitant about the place, just try the Espresso and you will be convinced. It is torrefied on site.

Looking for European cheeses, Italian deserts, and or the freshest roasted coffees and chocolate then this is the place. All the hard to find Italian treats are right here. They also have a deli counter right there. You can even try a quick bite also with prepared sandwiches. Try a fresh Latte, or espresso. You won't be disappointed. There are even a string of chairs outside. Enjoy, the people watching. :)

Amazing shop with unique and interesting products. If you love coffee, tea, cured meats, and cheese - this is a worthy shop to visit! It's hard to leave the store with so much to look at. There are so much specialty foods here to discover. This shop really knows who they are and it shows in the products offered.

Freshly roasted coffee on-site, delicious European snacks, lots of olives, spicy sauces, pastas and cheese!

I love the incredible selection of cookies & chocolates. I always look over the cheeses too. The amora of the coffee is a sensational treat as well.

It was a great finding during our trip to Montreal!! I found the fresh baguette that I miss so much living in BC!!! And mortadela!!!!! I wish there was one La Vieille Europe in BC. Tu vas me manquer ici❤️

Great little place located downtown, with a selection of cheeses, coffee and other yummy things to make you drool.

They are selling outdated food??? I bought a cheese on October 17, but it says best before SE 30.

Amazing selection. Incredibly warm service. Even got to sample some delicious cheeses. 10 out of 10 would reccomend ❤

Favorite deli in Montreal!

Great selection of cured meats, cheeses, oils, vinegars, bitters and deserts! A bit on the pricey side but excellent quality and selection.

The secret here is that you can buy high-end European cheeses on clearance/near their best before dates at a fraction of the cost. If you have a party coming up, get your fancy cheese here. Overall, the store has a wide variety of quality European foods. Definitely worth a visit.

Incredible coffee selection

Great selection of products but in reality the options are much less than what you see. Most of them are expired for months and they sell them at special offers. Their excuse, it takes a long time to ship them. I understand that but honestly, I prefer not to get sick (isn't this illegal, to sell expired products?). Anyway, 2 stars because of this expiration problem, otherwise I would have been really happy. Check the expiry date for everything you want to buy!

A nice grocery store to buy cheese and meat. They have a really good variety of those. Plus, I really love the "in special" section at the entrance which contains super cheap cheese that must be consumed really fast.

Fabulous European sausage and cheese selection, along with a great variety of many other European products, in particular Hungarian and German. Prices are very good. Service is friendly. I go regularly!

The staff, products and owners are incredible. Has been a staple for the plateau area, proud to be able to shop at Vieille Europe! Love their coffee and local honey selection !

Only place in town I could find the ingredients to make a real tiramisu.

Nice selection of meats and cheeses, along with all of the necessary ingredients for a picada. Unfortunately no wine, but there is a SAC just down the street. They had some delicious baked goods as well. Enjoyed the croissant the next morning with coffee.

A good choice. Specialty food. Immense variety. Cheese oil coffee cold meats tomatoes in paste fish choices in paste and cans sardine varieties. Visit to view! You will be tempted to taste. You won't regret!

The best spot for cheese!

Delightfull selection of cheeses, very good prices. One of the widest varieties of coffee beans anywhere. Lot's of other 'gourmet' imports, but really, it's the cheese and the coffee that make the place.

A several decades-old specialty food store in Montreal. Very wide selection of cheese, oils, charcuterie, coffees, etc... and many hard-to-find imported products. Essential!

Wonderfu products. Good (but a bit limited) choice of cuts and sausages. We found the service a little slow

wonderful authentic European market with a plethora of products. wide selection of fresh cheeses & meats. old fashioned traditional coffee grinder. sauces, marinades, teas, coffee, cookies, jams, and much more. Only negative- a bit pricey, even for their non-imported items.
